IRI's 'My Consumption' App Privacy Policy

IRI is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and secure mobile applications and online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the IRI 'My Consumption' mobile applications and governs data collection and usage. By using IRI's 'My Consumption' mobile application, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

IRI is in the business of operating, administering, and providing Market Research and programs to help consumers receive value when they shop. In addition, IRI helps brands and retailers better understand consumer behavior. This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected by the IRI 'My Consumption' app and any corporate affiliates such as the National Consumer Panel (NCP), for current and former consumers in connection with all the products, services, websites, and mobile applications we offer on behalf of ourselves or IRI strategic partners.

The National Consumer Panel (NCP) is responsible for recruitment and communication with those invited to participate in IRI's market research panels. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Collection of your Personal Information

IRI Consumption does not collect personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. IRI's 'My Consumption' does have access to household demographic information furnished by the NCP such as ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites.

There is information about your mobile device, computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by IRI's 'My Consumption.' This information can include: your IP address, browser type, and access times. This information is used by IRI for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the 'My Consumption' mobile application.

IRI is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Web sites outside of the IRI 'My Consumption' app and IRI family of mobile applications and Web sites.

There is a bar-code scanning functionality within the app that captures the product's UPC reported.

Use of your Personal Information

The NCP collects and uses the information you provide to operate IRI's 'My Consumption' mobile application and deliver the services you have requested. They also may use your information to inform you of other products or services available from IRI and its affiliates. The NCP may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

The NCP does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. They may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique contact information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not shared with any other parties. In addition, IRI may share data with approved partners to reach better data analysis for clients. All third parties are prohibited from using your survey data except to provide these services to IRI, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

IRI mobile applications and Web sites will disclose information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

• (a) confirm to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on IRI;
• (b) protect and defend the rights or property of IRI; and,
• (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of IRI, or the public.

IRI will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and customer feedback. IRI encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how IRI is protecting your information.
